Message to Ms. Giggles..etc...Vegas Misunderstanding
I wanted to make sure that you know.. and everyone on the board knows.. that I'm completely aware that you had good intentions and that I want you to still be able to enjoy the music and feel part of this community. My post was really to explain my point of view and really to point out that there are indeed always two sides to a story. I know what it's like to look up to someone. The thing is.. if you had still been there on my way back..sincerely...I would have come up to you in my own time and explained. You were not there and I presumed I'd probably run into you later... I did actually think about it alot afterwards and had a deep and meaningful about the whole issue of living of to people's expectations.
I can't believe I'm even engaging a public one on one here.. I DO care. I think in general I get too close to my fans and sometimes they expect that it's going to be like this 24/7.
I knew you didn't get what you wanted.. but I assumed you also knew you kinda shocked me.
I didn't have a bodyguard. I didn't have security. I just didn't know what was going to happen.
I'd appreciate it if we could all drop this.. that we could send out happy love vibes to MsGiggles (my name for you as I can't type your whole nick..hehe) and that we remember that I'm not a politician. I'm a performer.
And I am a good person. I'm just like you.

Happy Love Vibes
Hey
I woke up this morning and thought that I would pass on some happy love vibes to you all. No time or need for negativity here.
I'm psyched that I'm doing a show tonight in Minneapolis. For many reasons, but mostly beause Prince lives/lived here.
We're nearing the end! Two shows to go.
Leonie and I get only two days home before we fly to London to shoot one of TWO new music videos we're working on. hehehe..
The next European single is HOLD ME and I'm shooting a video with Alek Keshishian.. and incredible film maker/photographer and dear friend of mine.
If you ever saw the Madonna tour film Truth or Dare ... Alek directed it. He's done so much since that... he made a feature film calle With Honors.. and now flip flops between making music videos..advertising campaigns and photo shoots. So the vid for Hold Me is quite sexy I believe. We'll see. He is also filming the follow up video that I'll be shooting a week before the European tour. Let's just say there may be some boogying going on in that one! Although I'm not definite... this particuluar music video may contain the lyric 'mover shaker' so go figure.
So I'm so excited to be working with Alek. As soon as we wrap Hold Me.. I'm off to Australia to join the rest of the band at the Olympics. Then..3 WEEKS OFF!! Though I'll be working on the next project. Erhem. But...I'll be HOME which will be great.
Then Mexico city..then straight on to the European tour.

Minneapolis Surprise
I want to say (and not just because Dyan sent me a fantastic card and hinted that perhaps I should..!) say the BIGGEST thankyou to all of the fans who contributed to the banner that ended up backstage at our show tonight. Dyan sent me a letter explaining that you guys have been working your asses off promoting, requesting and supporting our music and I have to tell you....everyone in the room tonight has a good read of the stories..the pictures etc. It was pretty cool!
So in case we don't say it enough...

Farewell America....Thanks Indy Fans...!
This is a really quick email as I've only got one day off at home before heading to London to shoot the first of the final two singles from Affirmation. The rest of the band including Daniel actually get some time off but not me.. Only a few hours here at home before I begin work again. Then I head home to Australia to join Dan for the Oympics.. then I go off to New Zealand for some promo before actually taking 3 weeks OFF before Europe. WHOA. Can someone say tired? I must say it's been quite exhausting doing so much promo for Affirmation on my lonesome but your support has made it all worthwhile. Guess it's getting me used to what it will be like next time out for me huh?
O.k... so INDY... What can I say? There will be photos soon.. but basically the BBSers presented me with a fantastic cake (depicting me with my new hair!)... a trophy (whoa that thing is heavy!! $$$$) and a cheque of donations you all made to a children's charity.
Thanks for being so intelligent..senstive and BRILLIANT!! I really was blown away.
We have the coolest fans in the universe.
I love you... but I really gotta go.
What's next?
Photoshoot for People magazine tomorrow... then straight onto a plane for me! To London. The Hold Me vid. Then the Olympics. 3 weeks off (thank you LORD!) then the European tour (slotting in the filming of CHAINED TO YOU vid).. all this until Dec 20 and then it's officially GOODBYE!!
I think I'm going to ride the rest of the year out in calmness. Thanks for making it so special.

CHEERIO FROM LONDON
Errrrggghhh
I'm sooo jetlagged. I think this is the worst ever. Leonie and I flew home for less than 24 hours.. while Daniel and everyone else went home to Australia I did my photoshoot for People Magazine and then flew straight here to London to shoot the video for Hold Me. We're working with director and dear Friend of mine Alek Kesheshien (Truth or Dare... Madonna amongst many other things..).
He's shooting Hold Me now.. and Chained to You in November (wait till you see THAT video.. WHOO HOO!).. anyway... it's a whole new look for me.. you'll see. Can someone say 'grunge'? It's very cool and sexy and rumor has it I may even be removing my shirt tomorrow. Ooh err!
Anyway..so you know the bbs rock because they gave Dan and I a cake and a trophy and dontaed money to a children's hospital in our last show in the u.s.. and also because you've all been very supportive of our future plans. We thank you muchly.
I have to go to bed. I started at 6am today and finished at 10.pm. One more day of shooting tomorrow before heading to Australia for the Olympics and our free concert in the Park at the Domain afterwards.

CONCERT IN SYDNEY AT THE DOMAIN AFTER CLOSING CEREMONIES
Hey all..
Just wanted to make sure those in Sydney Australia know that our show in Sydney after the closing ceremonies is a FREE concert and is the AFFIRMATION WORLD TOUR... it's all there.. the lights.. the band.. the energy and it's all to say congratulations to the Olympians and THANKYOU to Australia.
We're onstage late..around midnight possibly... but it's huge and you'll have to get there early for a good spot.

Reflections
I'm in New Zealand by the way.
I've just had my second ever steroid injection for a swollen throat. Yes I'm sick again. It's basically chronic fatigue and it's what I had at the start of the year when we performed I KNEW I LOVED YOU on Leno. My vocal folds swell up and I can't speak and therefore can damage my voice. If I didn't have to work I'd rest.. but as I'm here on my own doing press in NZ I had no choice.
But I'm happy that tomorrow is my last day of official work for 3 weeks. I can't wait for my time off. It's really my first official break this year. Although I'll be writing a little bit and recording demos for my album I'm pretty much free. Just Love and Yoga for me this month.
Thank you God.
This past year has been quite physically demanding for me.. and I'm just run down. Don't worry. I'm going to be well in no time. Thanks for your concern though.
So the Olympics.
First of all I was wearing Tsubi jeans that were intentionally f*$#&ed UP and I loved them. Tsubi is an Australian label of tshirts and Jeans and I fell in love with them. They're all ratty. I wanted to wear the Aboriginal Flag Tshirt as a symbol of my resect for their culture and struggle.
I'm proud I did.
I did however start to lose my voice during the free show afterwards at the domain... and by the end of the night..I could not speak.
But at least I got through it.
When next I see you I'll be in Mexico for our shows there before heading off to Europe for the month of Nov-Dec. Promo and the tour and then PEACE OUT!

Oh..and I did NOT shave my chest! I love my chest. We just tidied it up a bit.

Hey! And beware of people ripping you off!
Hey.. this is a big hello to the most loyal, sweet, caring and cool fans in the world.
I am on a break at the moment (ahhh!) getting ready to kick off the the final leg of the world tour next week in Mexico.. but just wanted to mention something that has been brought to my attention. Ebay can be a wonderful thing when you're buying/trading rare stuff fan to fan...and even cooler when the proceeds go to charity.. But I've noticed several items for sale from a company called GTH or GatorHockey@aol.com in particular there is an acoustic guitar that when we signed it..we thought we were signing it for a REAL FAN.. not a sly buisness man. I would do anything for our fans when I can.. that's why we do sign autographs and pose for pictures when we can. But it really disturbs me that there are people out there who make a complete career out of turning up to hotel lobbys with instruments, photos or items that they wish you to sign.. and then go on line holding them for ransom to the highest bidder who is actually a fan.
You know I don't care what you guys do as long as you know the facts.. I never want you to be ripped off or taken advantage of.
Music and being a fan is a really cool, pure thing if it comes from a place of innocent intent. So buy, swap and sell.. get it however you can.. but I just wanted you to know that sometimes there are people out there who use your passion and turn it into money. At least when artist make music and sells it to you.. it is born from pure passion and realism and is transfered to loving hands. If the items belonged to someone who was a previous fan.. I'd think it was cool. But to know that in this instance the 'company ' often haven't even heard of the band.. that kinda doesn't fit in the the big picture to me.
Really quickly.. the box and the aria on line voting... THANKS TO ALL INVOLED.. you know who you are..
I swear you are the coolest...every last one of you. I'm so excited about the rest of this tour...and the future. Thanks for sticking in there.
I'm rambling.. but as I said.. I know what it's like to be a fan.. I was one when I was younger and I am one as an adult.

ACTUALLY WE USUALLY SLEEP OVERNIGHT ON THE BUS SO WE DON'T EAT. THERE ARE MUNCHIES BUT ON OUR BUS IT WAS ALL HEALTH FOOD.. LOTS OF WATER AND FRUIT.. WE AVOIDED TEMPTATION. WE USUALLY EAT AT CATERING AT THE VENUE OR AT THE HOTELS..
